All Hail Caesar!

Connor played the role of Julius Caesar in this week's Fakespeare Theatre Camp Friday play.  It was very funny and all the kids did a really good job.  Connor had some great, funny lines and he delivered them with excellent comic timing.  Something that escapes most 8 year-olds.  They didn't have to memorize their lines--they could read from a script--but Connor knew much of his.  One of the funniest aspects of it was that Ceasar spoke of himself in the third-person, as in, when the soothsayer comes to let him know that he is doomed, "That cannot be!  The people LOVE Caesar!"  And intermittenly, he would lift his hand into the air and a chorus of Romans at the edge of the stage would croon "We LOVE you, Caesar!".   So funny.

Here's some of the shots.  No video, alas.  Dianna doesn't think she's very good at shooting video.
