The Beach Part

There was some good beach time. And some not good.
Sand on chips is a great condiment.

Bad jelly fish sting on Connor's ankle.  Both of them were stung multiple times.

King of The Beach

Connor had a great time boogie boarding one day for about 2 hours with a new friend.

My sand sculpture!

He likes to feel the wind.

Dolphin Cruise-Not Exactly

While in Myrtle Beach we decided to spend some time on a 'dolphin cruise'. We've been on these before but this one was different and wild. It was on one of those big speed boat things and we got absolutely soaking wet. It just was not that enjoyable because we weren't prepared. Had we known, we'd have worn our swimsuits and brought towels! Plus, as you'll see below, everyone was tired.

Pool Fun

The pool at our hotel in Myrtle was the best thing about an otherwise mediocre property.   The kids loved it.

Beach Love

Dick's Last Resort

Last year on our trip to Texas we walked by Dick's Last Resort in San Antonio and cracked up at the giant condom hats scrawled with insults.  Connor asked about it because everyone was laughing and having such a good time wearing their "party hats".   This year he spotted the billboard for it immediately.

The food was so so but boy did we have fun.  The waiter had the kids in stitches with his throwing of silverware and declarations of hatred of children.  He did a great job and even Palmer seemed to get the joke.

Too Much Knowledge Can Be A Dangerous Thing

Our Myrtle Beach trip included a midnight visit to the emergency room. Palmer had been dunked underwater by a big kid at the pool in the late afternoon and came up sputtering. Then, later, he was extremely fatigued and had a weird wet cough which I convinced myself could be symptoms of "secondary drowning". He was fine. I read too much on the internet.
