We had a great morning at Wegmeyer's farm in Hamilton. Its become an annual tradition. I love it there because its not a big commercial operation. Just a family farm with a great sunny hillside of pumpkins, a maze, and a hayride. Perfect.

The Apples of My Eyes
It was a nice early fall day today so I decided to take the boys out to Marker-Miller Orchards in Winchester. Last fall got away from me and it was the first year in over a decade that I didn't go apple picking. I wasn't about to let that happen again. It bugged me all year. What a great day. And we've got a half-bushel of Romes, Staymans, Nittanys, and Goldens. Yum!

Tuck In
We put Palmer's crib mattress on the floor in our room in an effort to start transitioning him out of our bed. Connor thought it would be a good idea to show him how comfy it is. It lasted about 10 minutes but that's a start!

Play With Me, Brother!
After we saw Santa this morning, we stopped in a the toddler play area in the Dulles Town Center mall. When Connor was little, we visited here frequently. Somehow, thought, Palmer had never even seen it. As you'd expect, he really really enjoyed it. And Connor really really enjoyed following him around and protecting him like the great big brother he is. So sweet.
Santa!!
We waited an hour knowing what would happen. We weren't kidding ourselves. But we thought it was at least worth a shot. Obviously, Palmer is somewhat less than thrilled!
Connor enjoyed it again. And he told me tonite that he really believes that Santa is real and that everyone who says he isn't is just a "jerk". I could NOT agree more!

Blue Horns
Connor. September 12, 2003
Palmer. September 12, 2010
And what have we learned from this time machine?
1. It is unplanned and absolutely FREAKISH that it is the same date. I planned the outfit in the Exersaucer photo comparison, but was shocked to see the date on Connor's picture.
2. Palmer is bigger than Connor. Yes. You heard that right. In these photos, Connor is nearly a full month OLDER than Palmer, yet the hat barely fits Palmer and the outfit is snug from top to bottom. SHOCKING. Until now I'd been thinking he was smaller.
3. That is still the damned cutest outfit.
