Lions Redux

Connor's fall football team/league participated in a post-season invitational weekend tournament in Richmond a week before Christmas. We had some new players and coaches from other leagues and only three weeks to come together as a team and practice. The football stars were aligned----the Lions won! It was a fun weekend with some great families.

Christmas Morning

What can you really say?  It was a crazy, fun Christmas morning.  We are very fortunate.
It was also the first Christmas that Connor no longer believes in Santa.  He still wasn't sure going into the season--he had a little bit left inside him that wanted to believe.   But its gone now.  Computers, clothes, the packaging---he knows its not elves.  I'm grateful we made it to 11.   We probably won't have that long with Palmer, I suspect.
Santa brings Red Sox packs to our house.  Not stockings. And they were jammed with fun stuff!
Red and Green all the way this year.

We're lucky he was wearing pants.

The big Bo-Bot!

Money.  Chocolate Money.

He loves it.  He should.  It cost almost as much as the Chrome Book.

Flip-eez!!

He seems clueless that he needs this for SCHOOLWORK.  Parental SCORE!

Swaggy

No.  Not practicing to knock over Bank of America.   This simply me reinforcing that YOU WILL RIDE YOUR BIKE to school barring major precipitation or blocking lava flows.

If there was every a kid that deserved a dental Play-doh set, its this one.   I hope he drills that guy to the gumline.

Reindeer Feed

Its one thing to leave snacks out for Santa---but the team pulling the sleigh needs actual magical sustenance.   Making sure that they are well taken care of is one of our Christmas Eve traditions.

Get Real

This year we decided to get a real Christmas tree because our new artificial one (which we just got last year) had two strands of pre-lit lights that did not work.  It was too close to the holiday to try to call the company and get it resolved, so of to the tree lots we went.   We made three stops and our little helper handled the measurements.  In the end, we got our tree at Bluemont Nursery--pretty much the place we had bought our trees before we switched to artificial years ago.  The tree is beautiful and I think we're all happy with it.
