Beach Impromptu II
I love it that my babies love the beach like I do. It's a gift. I could be out here with them from dawn until dusk. It rained a bit today for about 15 minutes and most people skedaddled. Ahhhh. Tomorrow we hit Ron Jon and either get a new leash or a new board. The waves are too gnarly to do without.
Breakfast on the beach
A new friend - Victoria - that took about 5 seconds... and then they were inseparable. Tough chick. I was sad to see her go. :) Though it did seem odd to keep hearing another female voice yell "Connor"!

Impromptu Beach Weekend
Looked at the calendar and realized there was no other weekend we'd be able to go to the beach. So, I took two days of vacation on Monday and Tuesday and the boys and I drove up today. There was a chewing gum prank in the car and for the 3 hours we were at the beach Connor's feet never hit dry land. He is what the call a "waterman"--totally at home in the sea. I wish we lived closer to it.
Great afternoon with my best dates.

The Sweet Aftermath
When I was a kid we always got ice cream either at the beach from the ice cream man or on the way home. In the way home mine was usually a soft serve vanilla with chocolate dip. I still want the same thing after a long day playing in the sun. Palmer couldn't stay awake for his.

Kiddie Rides
This is the first summer Palmer is really not afraid to go on rides by himself. It's all very exciting. He especially loved the helicopters and the "mokacycles".
| Watching him negotiate with the other boy about how they would handle the joystick was priceless. |
| He just finished saying "Mama! Mama! I not scared no more!" |

Surf and Sand
First trip to my beach since Hurricane Sandy and it seems fine. Big dunes here. Houses in the Park all seem the same. Tonite we will go to the new part of the boardwalk that is open. Very breezy and cool at the beach and that is good because no one normal can actually go into the 60 degree water...except kids. :)
